Nestled up on the mountain only 50m above our famous beach, Surfer’s Corner, and the bohemian village of Muizenberg, Seaview Cottage boasts an uninterrupted sweeping sea view over Cape Town’s beautiful False Bay. Views from the cottage reach as far as Pringle Bay, along the Stellenbosch mountains and all the way around to Simon's Town and Cape Point. This warm and welcoming designer cottage is ideal for people who love relaxing in a romantic setting while watching whales and dolphins, or those who simply like to see the day unfold over the open ocean.

The cottage is an ideal hub from which to be spontaneous and engage in a myriad of activities without need of a car. Whilst enjoying the view from your window, you can determine the weather and wave conditions for kite or windsurfing, catching a wave on your surfboard, or simply enjoying a swim in the crisp, refreshing waters of the Indian Ocean. Other activities include seasonal whale and dolphin watching from the cottage. Alternatively, you may just want to meander through the Cape fynbos up Muizenberg mountain into the Silvermine Nature Reserve, collect shells along the endless white sands of Muizenberg beach, or observe the rich and diverse birdlife around the Zandvlei lagoon. You could stroll down to the station and catch a train to nearby St. James or Kalk Bay, a quaint fishing harbour renowned for its diverse and tasteful craft and antique shops, as well as its cosy coffee shops. Then you could take a leisurely walk back home along the scenic coastal walkway and have a dip in one of the many pleasant tidal pools.

Day after day, enjoy unhurried café lattes and international delicacies at the many coffee shops, delis and restaurants which you’ll find in Muizenberg village, just a few minutes walk from your doorstep. Enjoy some culture with live music, theatre or concerts at some of Muizenberg’s facilities. Or go about your daily affairs of banking, posting a letter or doing some shopping just down the road. You can also utilise the optional high speed internet at your convenience from the cottage itself – surf ‘n surf!

Then, at the end of the day, drift into sleep to the soothing sound of the ocean’s waves and the fresh mountain air. The next morning, you’ll be woken by the charming songs of typical Cape fynbos birds in the garden. In bed, open your eyes to see the first sparkles of the sun rising over the Hottentots’ Holland Mountains and the whole of False Bay.

An ideal place to simply be and enjoy the free spirit of sun, sea and air!

For more city orientated activities, Cape Town City Centre can easily be reached within 25 minutes by car, or with a 45 minute train trip.
